According to local conditions / requirements, elementary education and development of the following for elementary teachers-
Compiling and using educational basic statistics of the district.
To assist the educational planners / administrators of the district to undertake research studies in the relevant fields to support the reagents related to universalization of elementary education and informal education. Prioritizing the following areas for this work-
Compilation of factors related to student enrollment, holding, regular attendance of children (especially women, SC, ST, minority, handicapped, slum dwellers and the marginalized sections).
Analyzing the various activities mentioned above (including facilities).
To get community participation in the process of elementary education.
To develop techniques for evaluation of district formal schools and informal education centers. To select one or two educationally backward areas in the district and to perform the above mentioned research works and maximum functional research works in these areas / regions. This area will be called the Lab Area of DIET. In addition to editing more and more research works and functional research works in the lab area, according to the nature of the work, to perform the said works in other suitable areas of the district.
Providing following technical support to the educational institutions of the district.
Micro-planning for universalization of elementary education.
Institutional planning for construction of cluster resource centers and making them active, school development plan and cluster resource development plan.
To serve as a nodal branch in respect of all programs of community participation in the field of elementary education in the district. Such as District Basic Education Committee, Village Education Committee, School Management Committee and other community organizations, Mangaldal and voluntary organizations etc.
Organizing planning / management training / workshop / meeting etc. for Principals serving in the area of elementary education of the district, coordinators of cluster resource center and block level officers / reagents.
To plan the study of the impact of all programs run for universalization and institutional development of elementary education (formal education / informal education) in the district.
Institutional planning for the field of elementary education in the district and for diets annually / quarterly.
To provide planning and management costs (INPUT) in the works executed by DIET. In addition to the above mentioned work areas, discussion with the participating group to determine other work areas as per the current requirement.
